Christmas Books and Activities for Preschoolers

November 9, 2012 by Maureen Spell 1 Comment

I know, Thanksgiving hasn’t even come around yet and here I am talking about Christmas. This post is for those who like to plan ahead. I occasionally fall into that category. 😉

Christmas Books for Preschoolers:

Last year I did a series on Christmas books and activities for preschoolers. Most of the books were geared younger children, but could still be used with older kids in various ways.

You can see each individual blog post for the books on my Christmas books page.

Hands-On Christmas School Activities:

Scratch and Sniff Christmas Ornaments

Nativity Sensory Box

Christmas Bottle Cap Match

You can see the complete listing of Christmas crafts here.

Truth in the Tinsel

This year we will be doing Truth in the Tinsel as part of our Christmas celebration. Starting Sunday, Dec. 2nd, we will read and create an ornament craft that will help tell the real Christmas story of Jesus.

Now usually I’m a big craft fan. I love the hands-on opportunities crafts give my kids. This year though, I’m being realistic. I’ll be due any day during the holidays and I’m not sure I’ll have energy for a ton of crafts. That’s why I am also buying the printable versions of the ornaments! I think I can handle that 😉

Do you have special Christmas crafts, books, or activities that you do each year?

Sharing is caring!

These are so cute! I’m going to see if our library has The Truth in Tinsel.
