Easy Homemade Lip Balm (Perfect Stocking Stuffers)

November 5, 2013 by Maureen Spell Leave a Comment

My family loves lip balm. I used to purchase a natural brand but it was a little pricey for everyone in my family to receive. This past summer I experimented with making homemade lip balm (click for instructions) and it was a success!

We used shea butter, coconut oil, beeswax, and essential oils. If you have these staple ingredients  on-hand,there are even more homemade salves, lotions and bars that you can make! For instance, I whipped up a homemade moisturizer using just coconut oil and essential oils. There are endless possibilities and combinations with just a few key ingredients.

One of the first resources I used when learning how to make my own homemade skin-care items were the My Buttered Life eBooks. They provide easy instructions and videos if you are a visual learner. Many of the homemade recipes would make awesome Christmas gifts and stocking stuffers this holiday season.
