This school-year has been a whirlwind of activities, emotions, highs and lows. It has affected my blogging in various ways, and I’ve put many of my blogging projects on the back-burner for this season. I love blogging and have been discouraged that I’ve hit the dreaded “burn-out” stretch again. Have you ever felt like all your creativity has been sucked dry? Yep. That’s me lately. I know part of it is due to gearing up to add a new little one to the fold. I’m excited about that. 🙂 I’ve also had some heavy things on my heart that have also contributed to my lack of creativity. Some day I hope to share. All this to say that I was shocked and very humbled when I saw that this little blog had been nominated in 5 categories for the 8th Annual Homeschool Blog Awards:

http://hsbapost.com/best-photos-blog-2012/
http://hsbapost.com/best-crafts-plans-projects-blog-2012/
http://hsbapost.com/best-variety-blog-2012/
http://hsbapost.com/best-super-homeschooler-2012/ — umm, yeah. I am not a super homeschooler! 🙂 Even though I’ve been homeschooling for 12 years, I still feel like I’m finding my way. 🙂
In total, the HSBA hosts 20 award categories. You can vote once per day per device starting Nov. 4th – Nov. 16th. I’m so grateful for all of you! Thank you for nominating Spell Outloud.
You’ve got my vote!
Aww, thanks Cindy! And congrats to you! Saw you were listed in several categories too: Best Homeschool Mom Blog, Best Variety, Funniest, and Best Current Events, Opinion or Politics.
Maybe baby is sucking all your creativity out of you? I don’t really think so because you’re still posting great stuff.
Congratulations!
Congratulations, Maureen! Sometimes it seems like encouragement comes just you need it most! 🙂 I find myself frustrated with blogging not usually do to lack of creativity, but lack of ability/knowledge in terms of graphics or html. Right now I am trying to finish an infographic and it is wearing me out. I think that my frustration though is small compared to the things you have on your heart right now. I will be thinking about you this week and I hope that inspiration comes out of, in spite of, and because of the trial. It is encouraging just to see your honesty, to see that it’s not easy for everyone else, even when they’ve been doing it for some time.
Most deserved!! Each one of those categories! (hugs)
Aww, you are too kind Tricia!
