Moments to Remember: Ballet

June 30, 2012 by Maureen Spell 2 Comments

One activity my 3yr. old and 5 yr. old are doing this summer is ballet. Ever since watching Angelina Ballerina, they have been asking to take dance lessons. This summer we were able to find the time and a class that would work for them. They have been so excited to have an activity of their own instead of tagging along with their older siblings.

It is the highlight of their week to go to class and it has been a great way to stay out of the heat. {It has been a hot summer here!}

My 20mo. old wanted to join the class so bad. She stood still in the hallway for a good 15min. just watching the girls. Really– she did not move from this spot! I know she was waiting for an invitation to join in. This just tugged atย  my heart! She thinks she is as big as her older sisters since they do almost everything together. I love that I was able to capture this moment.

Coming Up in July…

My 10 yr old daughter will start her online tutoring with Lexercise. I will be blogging about this opportunity over the next several months and sharing my thoughts along with Kris from Weird, Unsocialized Homeschoolers.

Hopefully I will get my mess of a homeschool room organized. I’m looking forward to gathering our materials and planning for next year. I’ll write in more detail about our high school through toddlers plans, but some of the things I”m looking forward to using are lessons from Harmony Fine Arts, incorporating music appreciation with Maestro Classics, and planning high school biology with Apologia. I’m going to try my hardest to get everything planned and organized by the last week of July.

What’s on your to-do list for July?

    Oh my heart is melting, that last shot of your baby girl is precious! My L wants to do gymnastics with the boys so badly! She starts in the fall!

    I’d suggest a conference call as we both organize our classrooms, but I know that we’d never get anything done. ๐Ÿ™‚ Those pictures are too precious!
