It’s been several years since I first made Nature Study Printables for Toddlers and Preschoolers. My goal was to have an age-appropriate tool to pair with nature studies specifically for young children. This past school year, my 4 year old and I started making nature study booklets after our walks. He was so proud of his books! He would show everyone and then “read” it over and over. And soon I found that we needed new themes to make into booklets! So I made Nature Study Printables 2 for Toddlers & Preschoolers.
These printable pages were designed to fit in a paper bag booklet (see video here for instructions.) But you can add them to a learning center, a lapbook, a science notebook and more!

$2.50

Nature Study Printables 2 contains the following themes:
- Apple Observations
- Bees
- Birds
- Rocks & Minerals
- Seeds
- Spiders
While there are many ways to use these printables, we usually pick a theme for the week, gather books and materials on that topic and make a mini-unit. Our nature hikes during that week are related to our theme. And after learning, we pull out the pages to make a momento of our week. I love that the paper bag booklets allow storage of little momentos. You can see feathers in the photo above. They tuck in nicely in the pages of the booklet.
