My name is Maureen Spell and I am a Christian homeschooling mom of 6. Spell Outloud has nothing to do with spelling and everything to do with learning–especially for families with young children. I share many hands-on toddler and preschool crafts, activities, and free printables. With kids ranging from toddler to teen, I am able to highlight many varied homeschool activities and curriculum reviews. I’ve been homeschooling for over 10 years and consider it a lifestyle. I love brainstorming and sharing ideas and hope that the activities and information found on this blog help others in their educational journey.
Some of the topics you’ll find here are:
* Toddler/preschool activities, ABC ideas, and crafts
* Homeschool projects and themes
* Free educational printables
* Curriculum, books, and family product reviews (Please contact me for more information if you’d like me to do a review/giveaway.)
In addition to writing on my blog, I also write educational and craft articles on Squidoo and am a contributor on Totally Tots and The Homeschool Village.

Happy to be the first to welcome you back to blogging. Funny…I just re-started YESTERDAY!
Very cool to see you starting this up Mo. I will be looking forward to your posts…welcome back to the blogging world! 🙂
Well we have alot in common. I just got a digital scrapbooking program for Christmas.
Scrapbook Factory Deluxe. I thought I would go completely digital, But I use it to print alot of my embellishments.
And dh got me a Cricut Expression for my birthday. So I guess there is no laying down the paper for good. (Plus I just learned about the sure cuts alot software that allows you to use your computer fonts with it.)
I’m still trying to figure out an ecomical way to actually print my pages once I make them, because I still want them in a traditional album.
Once I do that, I can see doing digital alot more.
I just seen some of your work, I think it’s awesome. I’m a grandmother who is home school my seven year old granddaughter and very glad to have find your blog. Thank you for sharing your gift!.
May I review your site on my blog, Maureen? You have some awesome resources here, and I’d like to send some more visitors your way…
I, too, make free printables — I call them “Fran’s Freebies” and I’m adding more of them every week, in all K-12 subject areas, including foreign languages (especially Spanish).
Feel free to drop by, and please let me know what particular section of your blog would be your first choice as a focus for a review, if you don’t mind…

Hello,
Thank you for posting your adventures in Anatomy. We had been following your blog, but for some reason today everything is showing up as an error when we click to enter each system of the body blog pages. Did you take your blog down or is it under construction?
Again, thank you for your generous sharing.
Thank you for letting me know Lisa! I think it is fixed now!
Sadly, it is not. When I click on any of the individual Anatomy blog pages, it goes to “Page not found, Error 404”. For example, from Week 6 Respiratory system, Human Body Blog Post, that is where it ends up….all the blog posts go to the same error page.
Lisa, if you have a moment could you press F5 when you are on that page? Then click the link and see if it works. I am getting it to work on my end but it does no one any good if I’m the only one who can access it! 🙂
Wow, awesome, that worked magic. Do I need to do that every time or is it something on my end that is messed up?
You only need to do it this time. I fixed it but your computer stored a cached version so it wasn’t getting my updated version. The F5 refreshes the page to the newest version. Thank you for letting me know– I might not have caught this problem for awhile!
I am teaching the Human Body at our local homeschool co-op next semester. I was so excited to find your related plans! Are weeks 11-13 available? If so, I would love to see those! I plan on using many of your activities. They look like they will be perfect for K-2nd grade. thanks!
At this time there are no printable plans for those weeks. So glad you’ll be able to use the ideas!
