It’s hard for me to believe that summer is almost over and stores are already starting to clearance back to school items! This is the perfect time to score some great deals on items that could be sent in an Operation Christmas Child box.
When I was shopping at our local Hobby Lobby, all the summer flip-flops were on clearance. Of course I picked some up! Then when checking out what Wal-Mart had for school supplies, I came across these cool folding rulers. So they weren’t on clearance, but they might be toward the end of the month! I thought it was a neat item to include in a box.
This year as you’re cruising the back-to-school sales, the Samaritan’s Purse Bloggers would like to issue a challenge. While you’re out and about, find some deals and shop for your Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes.
Our challenge is two-fold:
- Will you commit to devoting ten dollars of your back-to-school shopping for your Operation Christmas Child shoebox?
- How far can you stretch that ten dollars with the back-to-school sales?
Throughout the month of August–shop, save, and store up your shoebox items. At the end of the month, on August 28th, the Samaritan’s Purse Bloggers will host a joint link-up across their blogs for you to share a post about your back-to-school finds. We hope you will join us!
I’d love it if you post any deals or ideas on this post or on my Facebook page.
