Last year I was able to be a part of a wonderful new networking and learning experience called BEECH Retreat. A small group of bloggers who homeschool met in Florida to test this retreat concept out.
Jimmie from Jimmie’s Collage, Jolanthe from Homeschool Creations, Jenn Perry (not in this picture) from Daze of Adventure, and I presented blogging workshops. Our goal for BEECH was to create a place where homeschool moms could retreat and build real relationships while learning the ins-and-outs of blogging. We accomplished that! It was a fantastic trip and one I will cherish.
This coming January 31-February 3, BEECH Retreat will be held at the South Seas Island Resort on Captiva Island in Florida. This screams rest, relaxation and retreat! It is gorgeous I tell you! I have been a part of the planning team for this retreat for a year now and I am so excited about it. If you are a blogger who homeschools (not necessarily blogging about homeschooling, but someone who blogs and homeschools,) pray about going!
Some of the retreat speakers for this coming year are Crystal Paine from Money Saving Mom, Jolanthe Erb from Homeschool Creations, Jimmie from Jimmie’s Collage and iHomeschoolNetwork, Amanda Padgett from Everyday Elements, and Rachel Martin from Finding Joy.
The BEECH Retreat is an intentional time apart where you, the Christian homeschooling blogger, can take that breath in this busy blogging world. BEECH is more than a conference—it is a hands-on blogging retreat. You’ll be immersed in a beautiful and relaxing environment where you will be able to develop, cultivate, and refine your blog while enjoying fellowship with others who share your passion for Christ, homeschooling, and of course—blogging.
So why in the world would I pass this awesome opportunity up?
I mean I would love to be in Florida in the winter!
I would love to sit and chat with other bloggers who have the same passion for blogging as I do.
I would love to grow my blogging skill-set and help others do the same.
I would love to eat food that I don’t have to cook.
Why am I crazy enough to skip this event?
Yes, I will be holding the newest member of the Spell Family in January! We are thrilled and can’t wait to meet him this winter!
